New pics and Leaked docs show Cold Lake Tarsands spill has been leaking for months and still spilling.
New reports have surfaced that show the on-going tar sands spills near Cold Lake are not only still spilling at all four well sites but have been spilling for what now has been confirmed as months.
Both government and industry have no way of stopping the highly pressurized sites so tar sands bitumen will likely continue to spill onto the traditional lands of the Beaver Lake Cree and Cold Lake First Nations until months of built up pressure have been released.
Below are some of the leaked documents and photos relating to the continuing spills.
The Alberta government continues to downplay the spills as new calls for an end to CSS tar sands extraction mount given the companies and governments inability to stop the tar sands spills reveal the lack of understanding of the technology.
