Future of FoodCome to the Greenpeace office in Vancouver on Friday February 1st for the first of a monthly film series.  The Future of Food is showing at 6:30 at 1726 Commercial Drive at East 1st avenue.  Meet other GE free activists, and join the movement for an organic future.

There’s an industrial revolution happening on your dinner table.  Genes that have never been part of the human food chain are being introduced through genetic engineering.  Pesticide residues introduce new toxins into our blood.  Meanwhile, farming communities have been depopulated by the industrialization of agriculture, leaving only two per cent of the North American population in agriculture.  The Future of Food exposes the dangers of industrial agriculture, while offering hope that a sustainable agriculture is not only possible, but necessary.
