2011 marks the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear accident. Earlier this year, as the world anxiously watched the Japanese nuclear disaster unfold, Ontario was forging full speed ahead with its plans to develop two new reactors at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station. The film follows Shawn-Patrick Stensil, a nuclear campaigner at Greenpeace Canada, as he journeys to Chernobyl and Fukushima. In Chernobyl, he witnesses firsthand the ongoing impacts of the nuclear reactor explosion there 25 years ago. At Fukushima, he conducts radiation monitoring near the site of the nuclear disaster. Produced by Greenpeace Canada, the film follows these 2 journeys along with Shawn-Patrick's passionate struggle to convince the Ontario government to abandon their plans to build two new reactors in Darlington.
