Climate change is the
biggest threat to our environment and our planet. Millions of
people face shortages of water and food. The suffering of many will
be terrible.
Canada is part of the global warming
problem. Canada's greenhouse gas emissions are already about 30
per cent higher than our target for 2012 under the Kyoto Protocol
and likely to get worse.
The Harper government has done nothing
on global warming. At the recent UN climate change conference in
Poznan, Canada was one of the worst climate villains-a country that
worked to undermine progress.
It is time Canadians sent the Harper
government a message that we want action.
We can get action through the
KYOTOplus campaign.The opposition parties in Ottawa have
all supported KYOTOplus. Only Stephen Harper has
refused.
Through KYOTOplus, Canadians
are mobilizing by the thousands to demand action from the Harper
government to stop global warming.
