A recent Greenpeace report called
Solar Generation reveals that, with a global effort:
- One billion people could be using solar power by 2020
- Two million people could be working in the solar industry by
2020
- Solar power could comprise up to 21 per cent of global energy
supply by 2040.
To reach these goals, Greenpeace recommends increased
cooperation between government and industry and the removal of
subsidies for nuclear power and fossil fuels.
