Boreal Refuge: Saving Quebec's Last Large Intact Forests

The introduction of new provincial forestry governance, mobilization of Aboriginal communities, development of the Plan Nord (Northern Development Plan) and of new conservation objectives, evolution of forest product markets, progress of Forest Stewardship Council certification and public awareness are all agents of change that can contribute to saving the last intact forests in Québec. Only one element is currently missing: political will.
