Greenpeace’s 2009 ranking report shows that Canadian supermarkets have a long way to go when it comes to sourcing sustainable seafood. As a consumer, you can encourage and influence their behaviour. Ask them to do their part for the oceans.
Don’t buy seafood species found on Greenpeace’s Redlist and make greener seafood choices where possible.
In order to protect our world’s oceans from overfishing, pollution and destruction, and allow recovery of marine life, we must ensure portions of our oceans are free from human exploitation. Greenpeace is calling for 40 per cent of our oceans to be set aside as no-take marine reserves. Support marine reserves by signing the petition now.
