NOTE: Fisheries or farming methods that do not appear on the list are not necessarily sustainable. Some stocks and gear types of the above species might be in better shape/ be more sustainable, this will need to be assessed and proven on a case by case basis. For those listed as the most destructively fished species, but where some stocks are less severely depleted, supermarkets need to prove that these had been sourced from those specific stocks using more sustainable methods.
