Greenpeace activists attempt to stop a whale from being hauled in onto a factory whaling ship.

We know more about Mars than we know about deep ocean life, yet we are destroying it with seabed trawling. We have hunted many whale species to the brink of extinction. Modern fishing methods scoop up fish stocks faster than they can be replenished.  Meanwhile, pollution creates huge 'dead zones' in the world's oceans.

Greenpeace is working to protect the world’s whale populations, stop marine pollution and end the destructive over fishing currently threatening the entire ocean ecosystem.
