Your will is one of the most important documents you will ever prepare. A will gives you the opportunity to decide where your assets go. If you exercise your right to prepare a will according to the law, your rights will be respected.

If you’re making a bequest to Greenpeace in your will, the correct legal name for the organization is Greenpeace Canada and our head office in Canada is at:
250 Dundas St. W., Suite 605,
Toronto, Ontario
M5T 2Z5

Here are some of the different kinds of wordings that donors use:
“I give to Greenpeace Canada, currently of 250 Dundas St. W., Suite 605, Toronto, Ontario M5T 2Z5, the sum of $ to be used in such a manner the board of directors of Greenpeace Canada shall, in its sole discretion, determine.”

For a percentage of the estate:
I give to Greenpeace Canada, currently of 250 Dundas St. W., Suite 605, Toronto, Ontario M5T 2Z5, _% of my estate to be used in such a manner as the board of directors of Greenpeace Canada shall, in its sole discretion, determine.

For the residue of the Estate:
I give to Greenpeace Canada, currently of 250 Dundas St. W., Suite 605, Toronto, Ontario M5T 2Z5, the rest and residue of my estate to be used in such a manner as the Board of Directors of Greenpeace Canada shall, in its sole discretion, determine.”
