And many of the people and cultures who depend on these forests for their way of life are also under threat. But the news is not all bad. There is a last chance to protect these forests and the life they support.

It is hard to ignore that human-caused climate change is real and is happening right now in China. Increased flooding, drought and unpredictable weather patterns are just some of the manifestations of global warming, or climate change, in China. With its rapid economic growth, China is fast becoming one of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions giants, exacerbating global climate change, and its ordinary people are suffering the consequences.

We believe that sustainable agriculture is the solution to food safety, food security and environmentally-friendly food production. On the contrary, both pesticide and genetically engineered (GE) organisms pose a threat to our environment and human health. Most dangerously, they cannot be recalled once released into the environment and the threat is irreversible.
