• Change all your lightbulbs in your home to energy-saving lights.

• ALWAYS turn off lights when you leave a room.

• Get into the habit of turning appliances off at the wall. Don’t leave them on standby. You can save between 8% to 11% of your electricity bill this way.

 • Insulate ceilings, walls and install double-glazed windows. Almost half of your heat may be escaping if you don’t have insulation.

 • Set your fridge temperature between 2˚C and 5˚C, and the freezer to -18˚C

 • Always run your washing machine on full load

 • Set the air conditioning thermostat to 26˚C.

 • Get on your bike! It’ll give you great legs!
