Campaigner - Toxics

Greenpeace China is seeking an inspiring Campaigner to play a central role in our Toxics Campaign. Greenpeace China’s Toxics Campaign is expanding its efforts to curb water pollution in China. The campaign involves a fast paced work environment and requires a high level of flexibility, intellectual rigour, passion and motivation. The Campaigner will work together with team members to develop and implement effective campaign strategies and projects to combat water pollution.

Hong Kong SAR, China

 

Responsibilities:

 

-   Provide leadership and program expertise with respect to a specialized campaign area and analyze new developments in support of campaign objectives and goals;

-       Develop and implement effective campaign plans and strategies to draw attention to ecological abuse;

-      Maintain an active liaison with potential and established allied groups and coalition partners;

- Research and analyze a wide range of specialized material on campaign issues and strategies.

 

Requirements:

 

-      Degree holder in Social Science, Environmental Science or related disciplines with 3 years of work experience (preferably in NGOs, media, social or environmental movements);  

-     Good knowledge of the environmental, socio-political and cultural situations of Mainland China, especially Southern China;

-      Work experience in Mainland China is definitely an advantage

- Working knowledge of political economic and scientific framework relevant to environmental campaigns;

-      Good analytical skills and public communication skills;

-      Independent, proactive and a team player;

-      Fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin
