Storytelling and engaging events are powerful ways to put ideas into the world and create shared experience for public. Greenpeace East Asia is recruiting a Communication Officer to support our campaign project with engaging events and multi-platform communications expertise. This position requires strong specialized skills and experience in communications-related area, including knowledge in traditional and digital media, creating and pitching compelling stories, managing events to enhance Greenpeace’s ability on news making and building public support.

We are looking for qualified applicants to take this post. Core duties will include:  

  • Coordinate and execute engaging and creative events, prepare press materials, pitching stories to media, to increase visibility of Greenpeace campaigns in media and public.
  • Contribute to the creation of visuals and compelling stories to support communications, social media marketing plans and activities.
  • Work with agencies, designers and vendors to produce content, creative tools for effective communications.
  • Handle press enquiries and respond to public inquiries about campaign issues and other organizational matters.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and/or Communication
  • At least 2 years of related experience, with knowledge and experience in executing and managing public events;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, written Chinese, Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and to meet tight deadlines, including a flexible mindset regarding working hours;
  • Commitment to, and demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team;
  • Commitment to the mission, principles and values of Greenpeace.
