The oceans are the source of all life on earth, and every day, they continue to nurture us. They provide half the oxygen we breathe. They regulate our climate and our rainfall. They give us a bounty of seafood; they revitalize us with their beauty and their splendor.

All around the world, our oceans are in crisis. Our appetite for fish is threatening to overwhelm the ocean's ecology, while the slaughter of whales and industrial fishing methods are destroying endangered species.

In 2011, Greenpeace activists projected an animation which read "Ministry of Fisheries Be A Responsible Player" in Korean, showing the trail of Pacific tuna destruction onto the offices of Sajo Industries in Busan, South Korea. The animation highlighted the roles of Korean companies such as Sajo in the decline of Pacific tuna stocks and the indiscriminate killing of thousands of sharks, turtles and other marine life as unwanted by catch.
