Greenpeace activists discover 12 sacks of shark fins and tails onboard a Taiwanese longliner, the Nian Sheug. One million sharks are killed in the Central and Western Pacific annually and 50 million globally each year. Shark finning is one practice that would be banned in the network of Marine Reserves which Greenpeace proposes as the solution to overexploitation of our oceans.
