Shaoxing County, in Zhejiang Province, is reported to have more than 9,000 textile mills and 30% of China's dyeing and printing capacity. The textile industry is an outstanding source of pollution in coastal Zhejiang Province which assumes more than a third of China's dying and printing capacity and houses suppliers of global fashion brands such as Calvin Klein.
