Coal: China's most dangerous environmental criminal

A recent Greenpeace investigation outed Chinese state-run organisation Shenhua Group and world's biggest coal producer by volume, as sucking the grasslands of Inner Mongolia dry, and exploiting water resources at a shocking scale. But this is not the only environmental destruction coal is wreaking on the country: from coal ash to air pollution and climate change, coal has impacted the lives of every Chinese citizen.
