Greenpeace and other protesters occupy the Durban climate talks

Greenpeace joined scores of campaigners from across the world at a protest in the conference centre, outside the plenary room of the International Convention Center in Durban where COP 17 is taking place. Kumi Naidoo executive director of Greenpeace, along with nine other Greenpeace activists, had his UN accreditation badge removed, meaning he could not re-enter the site during the remainder of the UN climate conference. Sunday's agreement marks the first time that major developing countries, like China and India, have been willing to talk about legally binding targets for their own economies.
