Seoul, South Korea, 2012 April 2 – Greenpeace International Executive Director Kumi Naidoo (L) and Greenpeace East Asia Campaign Director Shi Peng Xiang (R) meet with Seoul Mayor Park Woon Soon (M) following the deportation of three senior Greenpeace staff. Naidoo and three colleagues were visiting South Korea to promote an upcoming visit by its ship 'MY Esperanza', however, they were stopped at immigration at Incheon international airport, and while Naidoo was granted permission to enter the country, the other three were not, and were deported without reason. Greenpeace is demanding a meeting with the Ministry of Justice regarding the deportation, which it believes are connected to its anti-nuclear campaigning.
