Parents and kids shrouded in pollution around Tiananmen Square

Over the last two days Beijing's air has been particularly polluted, with PM2.5 levels on the rise. Yesterday at 9am air quality levels were at the 300 mark, indicating severe levels of pollution. Here we have families visiting Beijing's most famous landmark, Tiananmen Square. Parents and children alike had no choice but to breathe in polluted air if they wanted to visit this historical site.
