How forests are being used in the battle against the Yunnan drought

In the course of the last decade Yunnan has repeatedly suffered extreme drought, with the region in the midst of an unusually long three year drought. In addition to exploring the cause of this drought, top priority has been given to finding the best strategy to combat it.

In our investigation into the history of drought in Yunnan as well as visits to the site, we found that high-quality natural forests play a crucial role in drought mitigation.
