Greenpeace activists scale the GAP store front in Taipei, Taiwan, unfurling a 3-meter long banner reading “GAP, Detox Now!” during the company’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. GAP receives the 2014 Public Eye Awards, on account of its lack of responsibility in dealing with workers’ safety. In recent reports by Greenpeace, samples from GAP also found residue of hazardous chemicals. According to Greenpeace’s investigation, the water sample from GAP’s supplier in Indonesia also contains NP, antimony and tributylphosphate, resembling a “chemical cocktail".
