Fishermen on Yangtze River

The nets that fishermen cast into the Yangtze river come up gummed with discharged pulp from the Jiulong Paper Mill. Xie Chunhong, a fisherman, said, “The chemicals and the waste damage our nets very badly. Before the factory opened, one fishing net could last for three or five years, but nowadays, it doesn’t even last one year.”
