The Greenpeace ship, Arctic Sunrise, is currently at the Petermann Glacier in northwest Greenland as part of a 3-month expedition. The crew, which includes many respected scientists, is examining the effects of climate change on the Arctic. Specifically, they're bearing witness to the imminent loss of a 100 sq. km. ice island that is part of Petermann glacier.
