How China's fertilizer industry is endangering villager lives

Greenpeace has lifted the lid on a serious problem that's been plaguing China for decades. The country has now accumulated at least three hundred million tons of toxic phosphogypsum waste, or more than 200 kg for every citizen in China. Stacks in Sichuan were found much closer to residential areas than the minimum required distances set forth by Chinese regulations on hazardous waste storage.
