The Earth cannot sustain life without healthy, thriving forests. They are home to over two-thirds of the world’s species. They are like the green lungs of the planet, supplying us with oxygen and helping to balance rainfall and the climate. But to a greedy few, forests are just land, waiting to become pastures, plantations, or roads; sources of timber, rubber, or minerals. Our forests are precious beyond imagination. We must protect them for the people living in them and people everywhere. Together we can be forest defenders and work towards their restoration for the benefit of all life on earth.
