The Rainbow Warrior campaigning for forests
Greenpeace has been creating positive changes in the world for the last 40 years, and throughout it all the Rainbow Warrior has been our brave companion. Now the Rainbow Warrior II is coming to Hong Kong on her final voyage - please join us in giving the ship an unforgettable send-off!
She has taken us to the frontlines of environmental destruction: Together we have ended nuclear testing in the Pacific, tracked and intercepted ships transporting illegal rainforest timber, witnessed the consequences of oil spills from dangerous drilling, and more. In recent years we have been pushing governments and business to protect our climate, campaigning for Pacific ocean reserves, and also delivered aid to tsunami victims.
Our story with the Rainbow Warrior has been filled with unforgettable, perilous moments. Even after she was bombed and sunk by French secret agents in New Zealand to stop her campaign against French nuclear testing, we proved that you can't sink a rainbow with the launch of the Rainbow Warrior II. This second ship has continued to defend the Earth for another 21 years.
Now, you have the chance to give Rainbow Warrior II a perfect ending.
The Rainbow Warrior II will be visiting Hong Kong from Feb 7 to 27, 2011, on her final voyage. This farewell tour will not only be a chance for all those who love her to say goodbye to this amazing ship, but also a welcome ceremony for the new Rainbow Warrior III's autumn journey.
This year is the 40th anniversary of Greenpeace. You and your friends are warmly invited to celebrate with us: please come visit our ship, hear the stories of its accomplishments, and share the protection of the Earth together with us. Only with our united efforts can we bring Hong Kong a greener future!
