The present document informs you about the processing of your personal data as part of a recruitment process with our organisation. The document describes which of your personal data are processed, on what basis and why, and what rights you have as an applicant.

Greenpeace European Unit (Belgian non-profit or ASBL) with its headquarters at Rue Belliard 199 in 1040 Brussels (Enterprise number: BE0457.563.648) is responsible for the processing of the data.

- Contact details
- Behavioural data and personal characteristics
- Data on education and work history
Greenpeace European Unit does not collect or process any sensitive applicant data, such as data that reveals your race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, health or sex life. If, owing to certain circumstances, Greenpeace European Unit does collect sensitive applicant data, the applicant’s explicit prior written consent will be asked. Please note that by providing Greenpeace European Unit with unsolicited sensitive applicant data, the applicant consents to Greenpeace European Unit’s processing of this sensitive applicant data for recruitment purposes.
3. For what purpose and on which legal basis are the personal data processed?
The abovementioned data are processed within the framework of a recruitment process with our organisation. With your consent the data will also be processed in order to be able to contact you in case of possible future vacancies. By responding to our vacancy you give your informed, free, specific and unambiguous consent to the processing of your data. You can always withdraw your consent.
4. Rentention
Your personal data will be retained for a period of 6 months after the recruitment process ends.
5. Transfer
Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties.
Providing us with your personal data is a necessary condition to participate in the recruitment process and to be recruited by our organisation. You are not obliged to provide us with these personal data. However, in that case you cannot participate in the recruitment process and be recruited by our organisation.
6. Applicants’ rights concerning the processing of personal data provided to our organisation
You have the right to:
(1) have access to the personal data processed by our organisation;
(2) have inaccurate personal data corrected;
(3) request – under certain circumstances – to have your personal data deleted;
(4) limit the processing of your personal data;
(5) transfer the personal data you provided us with to another organisation/company;
(6) object to the processing of the personal data you provided us with.
You als have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.
