Greenpeace briefing on Commission forest package

On Wednesday 15 October 2008, the Commission will adopt a forest package which will include a communication on measures to reduce deforestation and its impacts on climate change and biodiversity loss, and a legislative proposal to prevent the marketing of illegally harvested timber and timber products in the EU.
