Greenpeace is frequently making demonstrations against nuclear power.

Uranium mines, nuclear power plants and nuclear waste are poisonous and extremely dangerous to humans and environment.

It is impossible to build an absolutely reliable system from uranium mining to storing the nuclear waste.

We are building yet another reactor in Finland in besides the four we already have and planning to have two more in the future. If this plan actualizes it will multiply the risks of nuclear power but won't help much with decreasing the climate emissions: 90 percent of the emissions in Finland comes from traffic, heating and other sectors that won't be affected by the nuclear projects.

The future's energy solutions are energy conservation and reneweable energy sources. Clinging on nuclear power will only slow down the shifting to sustainable energy policy.

Greenpeace is strongly and visibly campaining against increasing nuclear power. Our final goal is to get rid of nuclear power and fossile fuels once and for all, in Finland as well as in the rest of the world.
