Anything Goes? Report on PEFC-Certified Finnish Forestry

Metsäsertifiointi: Greenpeacen ja Luonto-Liiton “Anything Goes” – raportti. Useita kymmeniä esimerkkejä aarniometsien ja muiden arvometsien hakkuista. A vast majority of the Finnish forests have been certified according to the Finnish Forest Certification System FFCS. FFCS was acknowledged as part of the Pan European Forest Certification Scheme (PEFC)on May 24,2000.According to the FFCS Council,”FFCS certification indicates impartially and reliably that Finland ’s forests and forest ecosystems are being sustainably managed.”Yet FFCS certification is not supported by any major Finnish enviromental nongovermental organisation.
