The Greenpeace Organizing Term is a semester of advanced training for student activists. It's action-filled and the best hands-on training for students to become environmental leaders.

Our fight to save the planet has grown more serious – the threat of global warming, destruction of ancient forests, deterioration of our oceans, and the threat of a nuclear disaster loom large. We are looking for the next generation of student leaders who are ready to stand up and protect the planet.

You'll be:
  • making an investment in your leadership skills
  • getting training in grassroots organizing, media, direct action, and campaign strategy
  • traveling abroad with Greenpeace and join a team of incredible activists working to protect the planet


We are looking for:
  • Students who are passionate, smart, and visionary.
  • Applicants must be committed to protecting the environment.
  • Rising freshmen and sophomores are preferred.
  • Must be 18-24 years of age as well as a current undergraduate student. No prior experience is necessary.
  • Greenpeace strongly encourages applications from women, people of color and other underrepresented communities.
We are NOW accepting applications for: spring 2009 semester in Washington, DC and San Francisco. If your application is accepted, you will be contacted in August for a phone interview.
