Finally after 22 days of occupying the forest I had the local MP Hansraj Ahir visit me at the tree house. He was accompanied by two big shots from Western Coal Fields Limited (WCL). They are the guys who own and operate the mines in Chandrapur.

After I shared my reason for occupying the tree, Mr. Minister came out in full support of a moratorium on allocating coal mines in forest areas. That pretty much was the highlight of the day, he even climbed up the tree and was very happy about the fact that the tree house is not connected to the grid and gets its electricity from solar.
