It was an event organised by Greenpeace India on the use of renewable sources of energy. The event was organised in a way to to catch the attention of the young and the not-so-young alike.

The painting competition tapped the minds of children with their take on "The Sun".

Soulful renditions by band "Manzil" got all swaying to their tune while a nukkad natak by "Aavan" caught the senses of both the age groups alike.

Photo exhibitions and live demonstration of the solar energy at work actually made sense to the grown-ups.

Even the slight rain in between couldn't dampen the spirits. Instead, the interruption allowed us to view two rainbows. A real treat; as if the cake baked in the solar cooker wasn't a treat enough.

Got to take home a prize too; a solar-powered torch, heralding the welcome of solar energy at my home.
