Massive industrial fishing is perhaps the greatest threat to India’s marine ecosystem. The communities facing the brunt of these destructive fishing practices that lead to over fishing are the neglected artisanal fisher communities. Greenpeace is campaigning to get the Indian government to make a serious commitment to protecting its wealth of biodiversity and resources before they are wiped out by unsustainable use.
