Greenpeace answers questions on the No-Go issue

Some of India's forests in India are facing a crisis. The coal ministry wants to mine coal in them, even after they have been marked as a No Go for mining by the the environment ministry.

Coal is a fossil fuel responsible for high carbon emissions leading to rapid climate change. There are renewable energy alternatives which can reduce our dependence on coal and keep our forests and environment safe.

Greenpeace India's climate and energy campaigner, Preethi Herman answers questions about the No-Go issue and the potential of renewable energy.
