Greenpeace crop circles raise an alarm against GM food invasion

For the first time ever, crops circles were created in India to create awareness about the imminent invasion of GM crops in India. Greenpeace formed the crop circles in different parts of the country in Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Najafgarh, near Delhi.

The crop circle in Najafgarh, near Delhi was 150X180 feet in size. It featured a slash over ‘GE’, as a mark of protest against the government’s decision to introduce the controversial Biotechnology Regulatory Authority of India (BRAI) bill, which provides for a single window easy approval mechanism to controversial GM crops.
