Ships - Engineer: First, Second or Third

Greenpeace International (GPI)uses three vessels: The Rainbow Warrior, The Arctic Sunrise, and The Esperanza. GPI operates these ships, and employs the ships' crew. GPI is always looking for experienced sea going crew members, that hold the appropriate, current STCW95 licenses.

Basic safety Training
Proficiency in survival crafts
Advanced fire fighting for seafarers
Certificate of competency and its endorsement
Medical first aid
Maintenance of electrical and electronic engineering certificate (first engineers)


Candidates must be fluent in English and able to work with crew of varying cultural backgrounds, genders and beliefs. Excellent communication skills and team working skills go without saying. Applicants must have strong interest in environmental issues.
