Phillip, photo journalist

I have been a photo journalist since 1998. During that time I have travelled the world from Antarctica to Zaire and almost all points in between for newspapers and magazines.

I confess I delayed my wedding in order to document this campaign for Greenpeace. Luckily for me, my fiancé, Dorrie, is very understanding. She has worked in the media and understands the need to get the story out. Also we both realised it was an important job to do.

I had radiation training before we left, and I know the circumstances we will have to work in will be difficult - the heat will be a real problem for a start and we don't know what else we may find. But it is important to bring stories like this to a wider world and that will be part of my job.
