The International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tuna (ICCAT) is responsible for managing one of the most important fisheries in the Mediterranean; bluefin tuna. Yet the bluefin tuna fishery has been driven to the brink of collapse by years of overfishing. Where have all the tuna gone?

Take action: join the call for a global network of marine reserves to protect our oceans from overfishing and other destructive practices.  If we want fish tomorrow, we need marine reserves today.

There is a growing body of scientific evidence that demonstrates that the establishment of large-scale networks of marine reserves, urgently needed to protect marine species and their habitats, could be key to reversing global fisheries decline.

You can help us convince governments and the United Nations that we need to protect our oceans by creating a global network of marine reserves. Sign our petition:

LET THE OCEANS RECOVER

I support the Greenpeace plan to protect 40 percent of the world’s oceans as Marine Reserves.
