Save the ancient forests - join Kids for Forests

Background - March 13, 2006
Hey friends of ancient forests - each and every one of you are needed to save the forests!

On 20 March, 2006 the governments of the world are meeting for the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). By joining Greenpeace's Kids for Forests you can help save the world's forests by sending a message to the politicians attending the meeting.

Kids for Forests are active in over 13 countries all around the world - from Indonesia to Brazil!

What is it about? Nearly every country in the world have promised to protect the plants and animals on our planet by signing the CBD. They work too slowly however and the plants and animals of the ancient forest need saving NOW.

That's why Greenpeace keeps reminding the politicians, that today's children will also want to see orang utans, tigers and elephants when they are grown up! With an international kids delegation the Kids for Forests will be joining the meeting in Brazil. You can also take part!
