Boarding a timber ship

A Greenpeace action against the logging of timber from ancient forests in Liberia, 2002. Greenpeace activists board the 'Meltemi' ship to inspect the load of Liberian logs coming into Europe. Greenpeace investigations between 2000 and 2003 uncovered some of the main European timber traders paying for conflict timber from Liberia and fuelling a civil war that claimed over 250,000 lives.
