Cancer Victim in Shaoxing

Bao Jiefu (68 years old) from Xinsunrui village in Shaoxing, an area severely affected by water pollution. He was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer in 2008, the exact causes are unknown. In February 2013, the Chinese government acknowledged for the first time the existence of 'cancer villages' linked to pollution from hazardous chemicals.
