BNP Paribas, is the major sponsor of the French Masters tennis tournament and provides more funding to the nuclear industry than any other bank in the world. Currently BNP Paribas has plans to fund a dangerously obsolete nuclear reactor in Brazil – the Angra 3 reactor. Learn more about our campaign to stop nuclear investments.

Michel Dias de Oliveira, 36, former employee at the Angra nuclear power station:

Michel fishes with his mother near the intake/outlet pipe where the water used to cool the reactor at the nuclear power station pours back into the sea.

"I am fearful that the fish are contaminated, but how can we know? I suppose that it is safe because no one said it is forbidden to fish here. Nobody wants a nuclear power station in their city. We have 365 islands and hundreds of beaches. All of this natural beauty will die if a nuclear accident occurs. Life is a serious thing because we have only one, but they play with our lives here."

If BNP Paribas goes ahead with financing the Angra 3 reactor - it will burden the Brazilian people and environment with a dangerously obsolete reactor. Tell BNP Paribas not to fund the dangerous, out-of-date Angra 3 nuclear reactor:
