The construction of the nuclear reactor Angra 3, looms in the background of 'Praia Brava' beach (Angry Beach), a tourist favourite. Construction originally stopped in 1986 following banks’ withdrawal after the Chenobyl nuclear disaster. Now BNP Paribas is planning to provide financing to restart the reactor’s construction, which will use dangerously obsolete technology and burden Brazil with an out-of-date nuclear reactor.
If BNP Paribas goes ahead with financing the Angra 3 reactor - it will burden the Brazilian people and environment with a dangerously obsolete reactor. Tell BNP Paribas not to fund the dangerous, out-of-date Angra 3 nuclear reactor:
