Niklas, Germany, 15 years old: “Why am I interested in the Arctic, a region I have never been to? I think it is because I am fascinated by the people, plants and animals that manage to survive in these extreme living conditions. If we had visitors from outer space, we would certainly show them round the Artic because it is so unique. Now that my design has been chosen as one of the top 18 flags, I am really happy. I send all my best wishes to those people who will take the flags to the North Pole.”
