Greenpeace releases 'alternative' Steve Jobs webcast as Apple guru presents the industry's most anticipated speech

Press release - January 9, 2007
Greenpeace is releasing an 'alternative' video of Apple's CEO Steve Jobs delivering the speech that Mac lovers and environmentalists worldwide would like to hear him make - announcing the launch of the industry-changing green iPod and a radical shift in the company’s global environmental policy. The video, cleverly re-cut and revoiced from Jobs' previous webcasts, will be released at the same time as Jobs delivers his keynote speech at ‘Macworld’ at 0900 hours, San Francisco time today.

While speculation is rife about what Jobs is likely to announce this year, with possibilities of new products like the iPhone and iTV rumored to be up the company's sleeve, the Greenpeace version of his speech has the flamboyant CEO saying, "We're going to give the customers what they want - and if what you want is a green apple, then a green apple is what you're going to get!"
