Briefing prepared for the International Whaling Commission meeting in Sorrento, 2004. Over fishing needs to be tackled by ensuring that global fisheries are managed in a sustainable manner. To do this, the integrity of marine ecosystems must be maintained and that means protecting, whales, dolphins and porpoises.
