2009 will see an intensive round of international negotiations, culminating in the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit in December as governments thrash out a deal to combat climate change. These must be supported by funding mechanisms and policies that enable a sustainable energy future, protect our magnificent natural forests and create a renewable energy revolution, while meeting the needs of the poor.
